Susan is a registered audiologist and clinical lead for NLHS Eastern Urban Zone. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) from Memorial University after which she obtained her Master of Science in Audiology at Dalhousie University.
Working with the NLHS Audiology Department has allowed Susan to explore many areas of audiology over the years. Her primary focus now rests in the field of cochlear implants for both adults and children as well as providing clinical leadership to a dynamic team of audiologists and support staff. She is pleased to work with residents of the province as they navigate their hearing loss to explore potential options that may include implantable hearing technology. Guiding people through this journey, and supporting them afterward, has been consistently rewarding.
Away from work, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She is excited to continue to serve on the NLASLPA Executive as Past President – to engage with the talented professionals in our membership, learn from them and use this knowledge to advocate for the needs of the membership and the population it serves.
