Laura is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist currently working with the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District. Laura chose to pursue the career of speech-language pathology because she felt that the field would allow her to use evidence-based practice while still being creative in her therapy approach. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics at Memorial University of Newfoundland before completing her Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto.
Laura’s professional interests include fluency disorders, speech sound disorders, and dysphagia. She is excited to join the NLASLPA executive as Treasurer and build connections with speech-language pathologists and audiologists across the province.
