Jeanie is a Speech-Language Pathologist who works with pediatric outpatients at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, Newfoundland. She graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a joint honours degree in Linguistics and French, and completed her graduate education in Speech-Language Pathology at McGill University. Jeanie has clinical experience working with a wide variety of preschool populations, including children with receptive and expressive language delays, pragmatic language delays, hearing loss, articulation and phonology delays, and fluency disorders. She is committed to providing evidence-based, client-centered care for her clients. Jeanie has been a volunteer with NLASLPA since 2018, and has represented the association at meetings with provincial government officials and the Pan-Canadian Alliance. She currently sits as co-chair of the 2020 Conference Planning Committee. In her spare time, Jeanie’s hobbies include reading, running, travelling and her newest creative endeavour: quilting.
